A Week in LA
This past week I was in LA. I was there to visit Laramie, but we did get to do some touristy things. We went to a Fleetwood Mac tribute show at the Roxy, strolled around Venice Beach, had brunch in West Hollywood, and went bar hopping a few nights. All in all in was a very fun time on the West Coast.
Last week I spent three days in Milwaukee visiting my friend Charles. I basically just wanted to see him, so I didn’t do too much site seeing, but I did get to see Madison, WI and we went bowling. It was super cold!!!
Happy New Year!!!
I’ll be doing some traveling in the next two weeks, so keep an eye out.
Salsa Night in Baltimore
I haven’t blogged in awhile, because I haven’t had time to do much exploring, but tonight, on a whim, I went to salsa night at the Havana Club. I’m horrible, and usually very self-conscious when it comes to organized dance, or any dance that has actual steps and isn’t me just free styling. But tonight was perfect. Me and my banged up face hit the dance floor, learned the danced steps, and never looked back.
Afterwards, I went to good ol’ Towson diner with some new and old friends and had a great talk about travel, salsa, and all things college. Also, I made a friend in the restroom. While I was washing my hands, a woman came up to me and said, “Are you hammered, cause I am!” We had a nice little talk about her night. Good times.

The Sunday before Turkey Day
Barber Bill use to sell postcards, before they got too expensive to print. Now he just cuts hair, in his little shop, littered with license plates in boxes and tacked up to the ceiling and the walls. He’s an American, but one time he went to Japan and ate horse sushi. He stayed there for sometime, and on one Sunday in late November, he called up his Japanese friend and asked them what they had planned for Thanksgiving. When they responded with confusion, he realized he wasn’t in American and invited them all over on Thursday for a nice, hot meal.
